Here's, in crux, the happenings of last week:
The Good:
Finally came back from the 'dil ke sab armaan poorey' trip frm delhi.
Some of the 'armaans' that got 'poorey':
*attended one of my best friend's wedding..( FYI, havent attended any friend's wedding till date.. coz i was always in some other part of the country!)
*met up with the dwarka devils (who weren’t very develish this time.. most were on their own trip..Neo began with being ruder than usual, sunil met me like i meet him everyday in the RTV and this was another trip to the ofc, manish was extraordinarily chup..and had a weird look on his face like he was battling some pain.. and even after a lot of coaxing dint speak up.. honey was funny, as usual, and resh was the only one who seemed genuinely happy..thanks girlie..! and the 'wedding friend'was looking very cute and giggly.. absolutely adorable!)

Thats me on the left in the zee green and navy saree.
*visited the funk hole at last..( aah.. can die in peace now!)
*chatted with my sis the whole night, just like we used to before we both got into the 'world of wedded lives'. made me realize umpteenth time that we are still a lot similar but yet so different and that we can never be the same again :(..I miss her a lot..!
*met my munkey, who has become a chatter box and speaks non stop from the time he wakes up till he is asleep and giggles a lot. (Saw him giggling in his sleep, when i was chatting with my sis..was the cutest thing ever, especially now that he gets a dimple in his right cheek! (awwwwwwww) and i felt like giving him a tight hug..but then dint want to wake him up and disturb the chatting session!)
But am really scared for my sis, coz he turns into a shrieking monster if refused something he really wants to have! Spoilt brat!
*had truckloads of 'golgappas' and 'chaat' and 'daal ke laddoo' (so much that I even got indigestion after that, which i absolutely dint regret!)
*Ofcourse, there was also the wedding of my bro, which was unbelievable in itself, coz he is the types who say 'i will never marry ever' with the most serious face, almost with hatred dripping in his voice.. so all us cousins pulled his leg to the hilt..especially when he was very eager to see us off just before his 'first wedding night' and my cheapskate cousins kept calling it 'suhaag raat' and he was almost dead of embarrassment!
The Bad:
leaving ur loved ones is always the bad part, but what was worse was coming from a
trip like that and going to the office for a sucker training.
*Was welcomed by the 'phirangan' all set to 'train' me!!
*Was also welcomed by a newly configured comp..which meant reinstallation of lot of software (including the most important ones like Yahoo messenger..! Bloody freaks!!)
*My only peer, the chinky, suddenly got an abdomen pain and later was admitted to the hosp. ..had a kidney stone and his sugar shot up above 500!! (God bless him, poor thing!) And although i was very sympathetic for his condition, i was almost green with envy, coz he can now miss the fuckall training..and also I am doing one of the sickest RFP for him!( thats kind of mean, but its true!)
The Asshole:
This is a continuation of 'the bad'..just got worse with the entry of my boss, the guy i report to in GGN, he has all the elements that can make him a perfect asshole, therefore, he will be referred to as asshole (AH).
*So, AH ruined my only hope of recuperating from the trip on 26th, the republic day, by inviting the team for a dinner at ‘The Oberoi’s’. I had to very politely accept and even sound excited about it! Got nicely dressed because was going to a 5star hotel but then, regretted coz I had to go in an auto..! (yeah, even after telling him I had ‘conveyance issues’ he said, ‘..Ok, how about an auto? I will arrange a txi for the return..(I was quite irritated..but then had no choice) got an auto after a lot of pain (btw, all auto fellas of b’lore should be shot!) the pain was also because I don’t think ppl very often go to The Oberoi’s in an auto…and hence no one was sure..what it was and therefore where it was..!
Finally, reached the venue with hair looking like I was just out of an asylum..and I had forgotten to carry my hair brush.. (sometimes I feel like kicking myself in the ass!)
Anyway, after a round of introduction (read, thoroughly checking me out!) AH took all of us to their Thai restaurant(phirangan, me and another chap frm my team, Balaji, whose role I haven’t understood till date.. he just seems to be there for keeping an eye on us!)
Had food, and AH and Phirangan kept cracking some phirangi jokes and laughing like mad people, while me and Balaji were not very sure whether to laugh or just ignore the jokes…so I pretended to be busy messaging or playing with my cell phone.
Was quite a boring dinner and I had to keep asking questions to keep myself from falling asleep.
*Next day also, AH also made us attend and participate in a very lame kinda teleconference meeting with the US team. He again kept cracking very sad jokes and talking about his ‘army background’ (yaaawwwn!) when I had loads of work to finish! Even showed some clipping from the ‘Nat Geo Udaan’ series, where the guys in the video were some cousins of his…c’mon.. we are not interested u freak, we have work to do! Anyway, then he again came to my workstation and told me that ‘we haven’t met one on one yet’ (like I needed that now!)
*So, he chewed my brains some more with his pep talk crap, some goal setting thing, which bores the crap out of me! So I just kept staring at him like he was talking crap… I was so turned off with his constant attempt to show his brains that I felt like puking on his face..! I hate these corporate buggers in sales.. they are so full of crap and they don’t even know it! And now, I have a weekly meeting with him and also a ‘short phone call’ as he said to tell him if everything is fine! (screw him!)
(Well, I forgot to mention the origin of this hate, he refused to give me chutti for the delhi trip, so even if he was an angel frm the heaven above, i would have hated him anyway!)
Phew!
Till next time!
Its almost 3 am and I still am not sleepy..what the 'funk'!
