just another manic monday...

"...Good morning :), its 7 in the morning and I just woke up from a sound sleep, absolutely fresh and raring to go and sipping on a cup of hot tea. :)"

Except thats a big fat lie... :|

i dint sleep...as usual... and just finished reading 'one night @ a call center' by chetan bhagat. The guy is funny, in a very Indian sort of way...and its light reading but i think i cried a couple of times reading it.... my head has gone for a toss ..i cried when i saw '50 first dates' yesterday and i even cried watching the "coldplay...live in concert"...and its not even PMS yet! Most likely, my head needs a transplant!
Anyway, i got out to see what the world looks like early in the morning...and the instant i opened the door to the balcony ...i coughed...(my lungs got a lil baffled i suppose)...but it was quite a pleasant whiff of air ... (its something that we generally overlook, ..but different times of a day have their own peculiar smell...! and early morning smells are pleasant.) However, i saw some tubelights on in quite a few houses and smile of satisfaction spread across my face...after all, there are other ppl like me..Then, sadly, I saw a man walk in his balcony with a mug of tea and a newspaper in his hand... uh huh..So.....they are not like me..they are NORMAL people, who snuggle in their beds by 11 and wake up at 6 dutifully...coz they leave their houses by 7:30 for Infosys!!( I somehow feel half of the ppl in b'lore work for Infosys, and therefore they are all geeks!)

There is a Meenakshi temple very close to where i live, and like all other temples/gurudwaras..there are always bhajans blaring in a very screechy and unpleasant way...(guess, they havent heard abt BOSE speakers...or even if they will ever hear, they'll prefer spending the dough on a 2 kg gold necklace around a statue they think is God himself!!Aiyyo!). Dunno if they are trying to wake up ppl or themselves!
As if this is not annoying in itself, the 'hot tea in a mug' guy decides to play his very own bhajans.... at a louder volume to subdue the bhajans from the temple..! (these tambhis are competitive about everything and they think they are intelligent and all..but actually they are just morons, most probably running on some kind of computerized chip!)And i dont know how this 'mere pass louder bhajans hai' guy's family tolerates him...!
I remember once my dad, in one his weird 'i am devoting myself to religion' phases, started playing 'jagjit Singh' bhajans early in the morning...for almost a week. Me and my sis woke up in such a bad temper throughout the week that he stopped..i think he thought the bhajans were just making things worse instead of 'bringing positive vibes in the house'!
Whatever... who wants to listen to jagjit singh singing "maa..hey maa" in his irritatingly resounding voice at 6 in the morning?!... if u ask me, it just makes u want to add a certain verb after 'maa'.!
So, peoples..please go ahead, pray, but do it in your head or in sound proof rooms!
HMPH..
and another monday begins...
