Nothing endures but change

With no explanations whatsoever about the last post.. i shall continue with this post.
Have been quite lazy to write down most of the stuff lately. Dunno why...
maybe i am losing interest.. and hence the shamming in previous posts.

But I want to fill up my blog with as much of hapenings as i can ..so that when i read them years later..i find it interesting ..So lemme try once more:

Last few weeks have been very differnt from the time i have come to Bangalore . Here are a few:

• A new name has been proposed for Bangalore.. Bengaluru.. which roughly translates to 'town of boiled beans'...????????!!!!!! Pretty dumb of the Kannada language writer group who suggested it.. and dumber for the Chief Minister to approve..!! I have a better name guys.."JamGalore"... very true to the nature of what condition it is in..and not difficult to pronounce for the phirangs who are visiting some IT organization every now and then..!What the freak is about the 'boiled beans' after centuries of one stupid incident??!! crazy heads!!
• Once again I am working with Vimal but its so differnt now to go with him to work and back. Although its a little weird to be around him 24X7 but its convenient. 24X7 is not always a good idea.. so lets see how this works. I dont think he is comfortable with me around. I dont know..its still like i am in his space somehow..!! Whatevaa..cant help right now!
• Am working with very different people in differnt timings.. BPO people and BPO culture is very different from what i was used to. ( I prefer the one i was used to...cant say much..time shall tell!)
• The kind of work i'll be doing will be quite differnt from what i am used
  to. Lot of coordination with the US people...and hence it is called a Solutions Developement 'Coordinator'. ( solutions and development have no significance whatsoever!!)
• Then, because it is new setup, there are no colleagues.. its just one particular colleague.. a brief about him: (btw, he too turned out to be very different from the colleagues i have had:
  The day i joined, i was told a Simon Peter will be my counterpart in the team..and so i thought, it will be again a very tambhi-looking-south indian-accented-rubber-slipper chap..(btw, the rubber slipper happens to be the favorite footwear of the locals!! ..really sad some of these 'bengaluruns' and adjoining states people are!!) However, was pleasantly surprised to find a bespectacled chinky ( no PC terms such as 'north-eastern' will be used ..a chinky is a chinky...) with a long ponytail and goatee standing with hands
  folded. Seemed to be of the quiet and well mannered species. However, my first impressions are never the last.. so although he is well mannered, he is far from the quiet species!! Which can be a good thing expecially when you dont have many people to talk to.. but this one..!! God help! Goes on and on and on about any topic you start...! So, depending on the level of my patience i have to think what topic i shud break into..! For example.. . i thought he might not be such a reading buff..and happend to ask him which book he read last.. and he started with JK Rowling.. and cleverly switched to movies ..( smart ass chinky!)... and i ended up listening to the story of all the four Harry Potter movies..( including the latest Goblet of Fire.. which btw i was planning to watch some time soon.. now am not so keen.. thanks to the yappy chinky)..and as if that wasnt all.. he also recapped the LOTR triology for me..!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :( !!!! I was almost about to collapse by the end of it..( there are no distractions like your phone ringing or something when u really want them!!) Anyway, but its nice to have a yappy but good natured guy around rather than have a cheeky and sleazy one or glum and broody one! On one such yappy trip he enlightened me about the Bible and i think he saw a flicker of interest on my face and the very next day got me a copy of The Holy Bible!! (earned all his points there to spread chiristianity and booked his place in heaven!..too smart i say..but nice.)
  

So those were pretty much the things that were the changes but unexpected changes, also a few miscellaneous ones like:

• i bought a flap nokia phone (6060).. .. its purely falls into the no-nonsense-yet-stylish category....am lovin it. I feel impotant everytime i take a call or make one... flipping it open and shutting it close.. enormously vain but anything with a feel-good factor is what i badly need.
• then, another highlight is that Smoking is quitting me....coz howsoever badly i am inclined to light up.. i feel quite nauseous after a few drags.. which is a little bizzare in its own way. good for me..i guess my brain is the same but my lungs are being rebellious..thank u lungs..and am sorry u had to put up with a lot of soot!
• and what else...hmmmm.. last but not the least...catching up with Cinderella man ....dont know if its a nice change or will lead to further stress... but i still feel life's no good without knowing what cinderella man is upto! wot say?
  

So all these unexpected changes .. some good ..some not so good and some i dont know whether good or bad... are keeping me sane.. So thank you God...But dear lord be sure u dont go overboard!
