Hmmm.. weekend was wokay..! Not much of excitement..! The highlights were the 2 movies i wanted to see since a long time . First...Kill Bill - 1 ( yes... believe me...i had not seen it till saturday!!) and second, a bengali movie dubbed in Hindi ..'Choker Bali'. A word abt both the movies...( lemme see how gud a crtitic i am)
Kill Bill- Aah haan.... well... first things first.. i dint like the very concept of the movie ending without Bill being killed!!! Secondly.... too much of japanese ... it was so unfair! though..the concept of showing the flash back in the animation mode was quite unique and interesting. Another thing.. Mr. Quentin..what do u exactly think about violence?? coz u almost made it look like funny... with all the blood oozing out like a shower!! So when the audience was supposed to gasp in terror, i was in splits.. seeing the 'blood shower'! Was damn funny...! No clue what was the idea behind that!! Anyway, also "wiggle my big-toe" and voila..from paralysed to walking in just 13 hours..! Some physio-cum-mental- therapy!! This movie beats bollywood exagerration anyday..! But all said and done... Uma Thurman rocks!!
Choker Bali- well... just makes u puke in disgust with all the orthodox bull shit! This is my interpretation of the movie..( my dad says u can interpret non-commercial cinema any which way!!) so... this movie was mainly about the condition of widows in India ( mainly bengal) around the time of independence! And how drinking tea and eating fish were considered sin for widows! besides that... also about.. widows being deprived of 'sex' ! and so on and so forth.! ( am not in a mood to write more about it.. so make whatever u can out of these well-written critiques!! )! Indian art cinema also rocks! in the sense that....it can rock u to sleep!
ummm.. okie.. what besides.. movies.. ??? yep.. had beer and smokes...and watched Truman Show for the second time..! well made movie... i liked it! Jim Carrey rocks to the power of 10.
Also... beer and 'gudang garam' together rock to the power of 100! :)
Have meetings and trainings lined up for today! in other words.... life's going to suck more than it usually does!

Ahaa ... so you have seen these 2 movies .. great! About kill bill vol 1, I think it was just alright to end the movie without Bill being killed ... else .. how will you have kill bill vol 2??? Point .... hai na!!?? And about all that blood shower and anime ... thats Quentin's style .. he is like that .. have you seen Pulp Fiction ... must see, in case you have not. OK, so much for KB, cumming to .. (oops... thats not used by me!! ) ..Coming to Chokher Bali - well its not even based in the independence era ... its based in 1902 .. way before that, and hats off to rabindranath Tagore for daring to bring out such details in a book. Wonderful movie, great direction ... but yeah ... just as you said .. its rocks you to bed ... its DAMN borin!!
I also saw a part of truman show ...a weird movie ... must say! So incase i dont see you again ... good morning, good evening and good night! Until next time ... cheers
